Why choose a coach?

While a few of us may have been fortunate enough to run under a coach who taught us the fundamentals back in high school or even college, most of us never did. Thus we learned just by running a little at first and then more over time.

At some point though you may have felt the desire to become a faster runner. Or perhaps run your first marathon? Or maybe you are tired of being injured and don’t know how to seemingly avoid those frustrating injuries like ITBS, Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles Tendinitis, shin splints…

This is why runners choose knowledgeable coaches. They can teach you the fundamentals, give you workouts to increase speed, help you build a sustainable training plan to get you to the starting line healthy, and avoid the traps that ultimately lead to injury!

Meet our coach - Lesley Obstalecki

Lesley is a volleyball and tennis player who slowly turned into a runner and triathlete! The sport has taught her so much about herself and what her body is capable of accomplishing. With that in mind, one of her favorite things about coaching runners is when they discuss their goals, specifically their “maybe someday” dream goals, and then to help them reach and surpass those goals.

Lesley has extensive running expertise and varied knowledge covering multiple aspects of physical fitness which combine to make her extremely well rounded. Many of her accomplishments and accolades are listed below.

  • Certified Personal Trainer (National Academy of Sports Medicine)
  • Corrective Exercise Specialist (National Academy of Sports Medicine)
  • 5x Boston Marathon qualifier & finisher
  • 5K Personal Record – 18:33
  • Marathon Personal Record – 3:21:11
  • Will be working on her RRCA Coaching Certificate next (waiting on the next class to open!)

If you are ready to take the next step in running, do not hesitate to reach out and start the process today, you won’t regret it!
